The Structured Parenting Time program provides supervised visits for children that are currently placed out of home or in the custody of another parent or relative. The program is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for parents to interact with their children. The goal of the program is to support healthy interactions between parent and child. Staff maintains neutral observations of interactions and provides guidance and feedback to parents on potentially negative parenting strategies. The staff of the Structured Parenting Time program understands the importance of the parent-child relationship to the child's sense of security and self worth. In child welfare cases, the goal of the program is to support reunification of child with their birth parents when possible.
